tech editing

I don't know how many pattern writers read my blog, but I thought I would throw out there that I am trying to pick up work as a tech editor for knitting patterns. I have worked a bit with Kristi and Pamela on their recent patterns and I would love to be able to do more. I may just take you up on this in the new year - that lamb costume I made for my son has received more attention than all the other things I've ever posted on ravelry, and I'm thinking I should write up the pattern to it. I also made an ox costume for another little boy (the ox and lamb kept time - pa rum pa pum pum) but haven't posted it because I didn't get pics of it before I handed it over to the school, and I'd like to get a pattern written for that one as well. I just improvised as I went, but I think they would be easy to write up. Do you charge by the pattern, or by the time needed?

That would be great! I'd love to look those over for you.

Since I am just starting and I don't have a sense for how long it will take me, I plan to charge by the hour.
